Acceptable test samples for poison/toxin testing and evaluations
Head air strands, other body hair including eyebrows, underarms, arms/legs, pubic, blood, urine, nail clippings and nail surface scrapings, both finger and toes, suspected food and drinks, unknown powders and liquids, unknown capsules, unknown something, what have you.
Cremains testing to determine if the cremains are in fact those of a human.
An urn of some type containing what appears to be ashes or cremains may be suspect as to the actual contents. We can examine the cremains and determine if in fact they are representative of human remains. We have evaluated cremains samples where the remains were not human, in fact, not much more than a combination of sand, dirt, limestone.

Infidelity Evaluation
The scope of this evaluation is to uncover a number of detectable possibilities related to infidelity, adultery or non-marital multiple sex partners. We offer this type of testing to both the heterosexual and homosexual community. We evaluate for the presence of a women (DNA), seminal fluid, sperm cells, lipstick, make up, saliva, multiple partner events (DNA) skin cell DNA and more.
Analytical Verification of Contents
This evaluation is designed to determine the make up of a given test sample. The type of testing can be effective in determining the composition of a liquid, solids, or whatever. Hopefully we can provide an answer to your question like, what is this stuff? The evaluation can be effective in identifying unknown samples of a variety of types.
HM – Heavy or Toxic Metals Evaluation
Heavy metals are natural elements e.g. Arsenic, Lead, Mercury, and many, many, others. Arsenic and its compounds are used as pesticides, herbicides, insecticides and in various Arsenic alloys. Unfortunately, it is also used for poisoning humans and animals. The strength of the dosage, the number of doses, and the time period interval of the dosages can cause a poisoning sickness or sudden death.
Drug Test Evaluations
Drugs, weather legal or illegal, prescription or non prescription, are available almost everywhere and generally easy to acquire. Drug test evaluations would include a five (5) or ten (10) panel evaluation. You will also find information on this page about drugs of abuse. We also offer specific test evaluations for unusual or unknown drugs.
Date Rape Drugs
The use of drugs in the commission of a personal or sexual assault has been on the rise. This evaluation is a stand alone.
Antifreeze
Commonly found in the garage. Can be used to cause sickness over a period of time or as a larger dosage to cause sudden death. We test hair strands or finger and toe nails to discover the presence of glycolic acid, a metabolite of anti-freeze or ethylene glycol.
DNA
Can be used to establish maternity, paternity, siblingship, aunts and uncles. Both evidence and reference test samples can be harvested from a number of Alternate DNA Sources. The most common type of DNA sample collection is done by using a Q-Tip cotton swab for a buccal( cheek) sample collection. The science of DNA is still considered to be in it’s infancy.
Cremains
Bone slivers separated from the cremains can be tested for detectable levels of heavy metals and unknown toxins and DNA. The cremation process in some cases may not be as efficient as you may think. We always advise our clients to consider cremains as a last resort sample if there are blood or urine samples available from the hospital or the Medical Examiner who may have conducted an autopsy. Perhaps a lock or two of hair was harvested from the deceased prior to cremation and given to the survivors as a keepsake.
Postmortem
Postmortem evaluations for autopsy tissue and fluid samples. Medical Examiner samples such as blood or urine without autopsy. Fluid or tissue samples, hair strand samples collected by loved onesl prior to cremation.
Unknown Substance Analysis
An unknown substance analysis is performed when a person finds a pill, powder, food or drink item, or other substance that they suspect that needs to be identified as biological, chemical, poison, or drug.
CUT – Chemical and Unknown Toxin Evaluation
This testing panel and evaluation compares detected molecular profiles of the sample against the NIST National Institute of Standards and Technology database of known compounds that contains about a million entries. The test sample molecular profiles are matched against the known profiles of the database to establish the test sample composition and/or identity. Although many chemical and toxins can be poisonous to human and animal life this evaluation does not specifically test for common heavy metal/heavy toxin/poisons e.g. Arsenic, Cyanide, Strychnine, Lead, Mercury and others. Antifreeze is a common poison but requires a stand alone evaluation as does ecstasy and other drugs. Our unknown chemical/toxin and heavy metals evaluation scans a test sample using GC/MS (Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry) following pretesting preparations. The detected results of the GC/
