Cremains Testing and Evaluation |
| Cremains testing to determine if the cremains are in fact organic, to extract for a DNA profile, or to test for heavy metals (poisons) and organic chemicals and toxins |
| An urn of some type containing what appears to be ashes or cremains may be suspect as to the actual contents. We can examine the cremains and determine if in fact they are representative of organic human remains. We have evaluated cremains samples where the remains were not human, in fact, not much more than a combination of sand, dirt, or limestone. |
| Remember: Your late friend or family member may be crying out for your help. Now is the time to respond to their needs in hopes of closure |
| We will be more than glad to accept the cremains sample from you, with or without the urn or metal cube and then proceed with harvesting a test sample. Yes, the balance of the cremains will be returned to you following the release of our final test report. Do not be concerned since we realize that the cremains represents your friend of loved one therefore the cremains will be handled with the utmost degree of respect. |

A comment from one of our many clients . . . |
| Dear Carlson Company, It took us a while to find you but well worth the effort and wait. Cindy and I had been living with concerns regarding my father’s recent passing. He seemed so healthy and vibrant. We suspected that his new wife may have been instrumental in his passing. As you know my late father was quite wealthy. His widow practically had him cremated before his heart stopped beating. Your work with us and our attorney is most appreciated. Cremains and postmortem tissue testing provided the answers we needed. Thanks for bringing closure. |

FYI – For Your Information |
| Worthwhile read regarding the potential for the selling of body parts and cadavers by crematorium operators |
| The vast majority of crematorium operators are caring and honest when dealing with your loved ones cremation. Nonetheless, about 900 lawsuits are filed on average/year against crematorium operators regarding the final disposition of the deceased’s body parts or cremains. |
| The preferred postmortem testing sample choices for the presence of toxins, poisons, or heavy metals which includes Arsenic, include blood, urine, or tissue samples belonging to the deceased from premortem medical treatment or postmortem autopsy. Autopsy samples of choice would include vitreous eye fluid, organ tissue, hair, nails, bones or blood. Be sure to contact all involved medical services providers and your County Coroner’s office to see if they have retained any pre or post mortem samples belonging to the deceased. These tissue samples can be tested for the presence of toxins and poisons. |
| Yes, cremains, human or animal, can undergo DNA extraction testing with a 50/50 chance for detection of an identifiable DNA profile for identity or for the detection of heavy metal poisons such as Arsenic or Strychnine, the most common in use. If cremains are your only available sample we suggest that you proceed with any required testing to hopefully bring closure and lay to rest any suspicions you may hold regarding the loss of your friend or loved one. |

What is DNA? Deoxyribonucleic acid: an extremely long macromolecule that is the main component of chromosomes and is the material that transfers genetic characteristics in all life forms. Extracting a DNA profile from a cremains sample has the potential for positive results. Not all cremation processes are alike, uniform, or do they share equal destructive efficiency in the disposition of the cremated corpse. The cremation process is full of
